The Royal Blue Card Holder Wallet is a study in luxury, sophistication, and individuality. Crafted from full-grain veg-tanned buffalo leather, sourced from a Leather Working Group (LWG) certified tannery, it preserves the majesty of the natural hide — hair follicles, grain, and skin lines carried through into every wallet. Each piece tells its own story, ensuring no two card holders are ever alike.

Finished with a stunning royal blue dye and hand-painted edges applied in multiple layers for depth and durability, the silhouette stays slim yet practical , holding 5–10 cards with ease. Meticulously crafted by skilled artisans, it unites timeless craftsmanship with modern restraint. Built to age beautifully and last a lifetime.

more details

Conditioning: Apply a neutral leather conditioner every 3–6 months to keep the buffalo leather supple and protect the dye. A little goes a long way.

Water: Full-grain leather is not waterproof. Wipe spills immediately with a soft dry cloth — never rub. Allow to air dry naturally, away from direct heat.

Sunlight: Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight. UV will lift the royal blue over time. Store flat in the dust bag when not in use.

Color Transfer: As with all hand-dyed leathers, minor color transfer onto light fabrics may occur in the first few weeks. This settles with use.

Cleaning: Wipe gently with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. Do not use household cleaners, alcohol, or solvents — these strip the finish.

Patina: Expect the leather to soften, deepen, and develop character with use. This is the leather doing exactly what it should.

Sustainability

As a responsible brand, we are looking for ways to be more sustainable. The leather we use to make our wallets, are made from natural hides, which are a byproduct of livestock farming, and which would have otherwise gone to waste.

LWG certified tannery

the leather we use comes from tanneries that are part of the Leather Working Group, meaning they’ve achieved excellence in environmental and labor practices. It also means our leather is premium quality, so it feels great, and ages beautifully.

ENTIRELY PLASTIC FREE

From the hide to the box it arrives in, no plastic touches this product. Every material natural, biodegradable, and worthy of what it holds.

VEGETABLE TANNED

Veg-tanning is the oldest method in leather tanning processes. It's slower, cleaner, and the reason this wallet will age into something better than it started.

We make things that work better and last longer.

Disclaimer: the wallet was carried daily, used hard, overstuffed with 14 cards, never conditioned with a leather conditoner. This is what real patina looks like.

The Collection Grows

The wallet was just the beginning. Bags, leather goods, and clothing — all in development. BLwUE is building a full wardrobe for people who live in blue.

WE TAKE PRIDE IN THE MATERIALS WE USE

Crafted from full grain vegetable tanned leather, sourced from LWG certified tanneries.

Full grain is the densest, most fibrous layer of the hide, kept entirely intact — nothing sanded, buffed, or embossed. It is the only leather grade that develops a true patina, deepening in tone and character with every year of use.

Vegetable tanning, refined over centuries in Italian tanneries, uses tannins drawn from tree bark rather than chrome. The process takes weeks instead of hours, and the result is leather with depth, warmth, and a richness of colour that chrome-tanned alternatives cannot reproduce — particularly in our signature royal blue.

Every tannery we source from is certified by the Leather Working Group, the global standard for traceability, environmental accountability, and chemical discipline in leather production.

The leather is built to age. The patina it earns over time is the contract.
